"My
intention is to remove all mental barriers from your
game, reconnect you to your natural physical mechanics,
and help you continue improving upon them through my approach called Mentalball. "
Mentalball is about the spine of sports. It supports the rest of the body of your mechanics. Using its knowledge can help you overcome all odds, conquer your personal demons and return you to being relaxed, focused, and consistent.
Mentalball is a tailor-made procedure for athletes wanting to enhance their performance. And equally, if not more importantly, Mentalball is a ground-breaking approach that is an effective remedy for perplexing challenges faced by every athlete, whether mechanical or mental in nature.
Dr.
Crowley has worked in the field of human behavior for
over thirty years. He holds a B.A. in psychology from
St. Bonaventure University in New York, a M.S.W. in
psychiatric social work from Boston College, a Ph.D.
in clinical psychology from the United States International
University in San Diego, and a National Institute of
Health fellowship in community mental health.
His
training includes an internship and a fellowship at
Harvard University's primary medical and psychiatric
institutions. He has co-authored with Dr. Joyce Mills
many articles and books including an award-winning,
internationally used text, "Therapeutic Metaphors
for Children". It has been translated into Italian,
French, German and Russian.
Crowley
began working with athletes in 1983 with the beleaguered
Steve Sax of the Dodgers. Sax was struggling as he had
lost his ability to make routine throws to first base.
Sax benefited from only two sessions. Dr. Crowley's Mentalball approach has benefited Steve Blass, Mark Wohlers and Shawn Green.
Over
the years Dr. Crowley developed his pioneering approach
of Mentalball to empower
athletes to achieve, maintain and improve upon their
natural mechanics. It is quickly establishing Dr. Crowley
as an authority in breaking new ground leveraging mind
over matter, the mental over the physical, with professional
athletes and organizations.
Dr. Crowley is a member of the American Baseball Coaches
Association, the advisory board of the On Deck Foundation
at www.ondeckfoundation.org,
and a lifetime member of the Association of Professional
Baseball Players of America.
