PITCHER, BURBANK, CA

“After the first of just two meetings with Dr. Crowley, the persisting
thoughts of ‘What if it happens again?’ were gone.”

May 2003

“While a freshman playing varsity fastball softball at Providence High School in Burbank, California. I was hit in the face at bat. Even though I wore a protective mask it was later found that I got a hairline fracture of my jaw.

Prior to the injury I had a 1.14 ERA and a batting average of .222. After being hit I could not seem to pitch after the first inning.  I couldn’t throw strikes any longer and I had always been a most accurate pitcher. I had no real clue what was wrong. It no longer felt like my arm was there. I immediately knew from the release point that the ball wasn’t going where I wanted it to go. It no longer felt like my arm was there. I immediately knew from the release point that the ball wasn’t going where I wanted it to go.

May 19, 2003 my parents got me an appointment with Dr. Crowley who they found on the Internet. After the first of just two meetings with Dr. Crowley, the persisting thoughts of “What if it happens again?” were gone and the ‘numbness’ in my hand felt gone as well.  I pitched with my coach a few hours after our meeting and I was pitching practically back to where I was originally. It was much easier. It felt even effortless. The feeling of being susceptible was gone.

The very next day I met with Dr. Crowley again and we worked on other issues that had affected my confidence and fun pitching. The next day in a game I pitched five innings, was 2 for 3, and got 3 RBI’s. We won 12 to 9. Our last game of the season was three days later. Even though we lost 9 to 7, I felt like my pitching was perfect.  Dr. Crowley’s technique worked well for me.”
